Our new Technical Manager / Support Manager

Technical Support International, Inc (TSI) is a well established IT support organization located south of Boston.  We provide IT outsourcing and high-tech professional services to over 200 clients in Massachusetts, Rhodes Island, New Hampshire and Connecticut. Our company has been growing steadily for the past 19 years and we are now looking for a Technical Support Manager/Operation Manager.  This is a new position and we are looking for someone dynamic, enthusiastic, creative and willing to lead. This position will report directly to the President of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of IT support operations including Field Support, Internal Support (Managed Services), tools and services in support of our customers
  • Manage and directs our Technical Support staff and provides guidance and leadership
  • Manage and direct vendors or employees in supporting IT objectives
  • Create and implement controls, structure best practices and ensure compliance with requirements of our industry
  • Create a service oriented culture in Technical Support Services
  • Proven ability to meet budgetary constraints, timelines and meet or exceed user requirements
  • Review Technical problems and develops solutions and escalation process
  • Work in a small rapidly growing environment and help position the company for future growth and capacity
  • Design a technology roadmap to support our business objectives

Requirements:

  • Extremely good hands-on IT experience, Microsoft certifications and experience a big plus!
  • 5-15 years in a leadership role within a Department or customer service organization
  • Degree in Computer Science, Management, Engineering or related field, MA or MS are preferred
  • Broad technical experience including latest IT technologies
  • Ability to view problems from a business perspective and to implement "user friendly" IT solutions
  • Demonstrated and willingness to communicate effectively with non-technical customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Financial budgetary experience and excellent human resources skills
  • Customer focused (internal and external)
